SAN DIEGO, Calif. — SCS Engineers (SCS) announced that Chuck Pryatel, MBA, REHS, has been promoted to Vice President. In his new role, Pryatel will serve as the San Diego Regulatory Compliance Practice Manager.
Pryatel manages a staff of environmental scientists and geologists responsible for completing environmental site assessments, risk assessments, underground storage tank assessments, assessments for Brownfield redevelopment, and industrial facility regulatory compliance. He is based in SCS’ San Diego office and previously served as a SCS Senior Project Advisor.
“Chuck’s public and private sector experience gives him the ability to communicate with regulatory agencies to attain solutions in a timely and efficient manner while meeting our clients’ needs,” said Mark Beizer, PE, Senior Vice President and California Office Director of SCS Engineers.
As the regulatory agency liaison, Pryatel is charged with resolving complex environmental issues and helping clients comply with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations for hazardous waste and materials management, underground storage tanks, hazardous waste tanks, and storm water management.
Pryatel has more than 29 years of experience in the environmental services industry. His experience includes completing Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, conducting preliminary endangerment assessments, and coordinating remedial investigations and feasibility studies with regulatory agencies.
He is a graduate of the University of California San Diego (BA in Biology), and San Diego State University (MBA with Management Specialization).
