SCS Engineers Acquires Tracer ES&T

Long Beach, California – As of October 1, 2009, Tracer Environmental Sciences & Technologies, Inc. (Tracer ES&T) merged with SCS Engineers. Tracer will operate as a separate practice group of SCS under the name SCS Tracer Environmental.

SCS Tracer Environmental is a technology-oriented consulting firm that provides industrial air, risk management, and environmental engineering consulting services. The company specializes in air quality, regulatory compliance, hazardous materials risk management, and the use of tracer gases to evaluate air dispersion and performance of environmental systems.

“We are excited that Tracer ES&T has joined SCS,” said Mike McLaughlin, SCS’s Senior Vice President for Environmental Services, “and believe their strong reputation and experience in tracer gas studies, ambient air monitoring, risk management planning and process safety management, and environmental services for the important oil exploration and production industry will complement our services offerings in these and related areas.  Their knowledge and experience with specialized air studies and risk management for large ammonia and chlorine systems is particularly valuable in the context of homeland security and Department of Defense concerns.”

 

SCS Tracer Environmental will continue to operate from its offices in San Marcos (San Diego, California area), Santa Maria (central California coast area), and Cypress (Houston, Texas area),Tracer’s Thomas J. Rappolt, QEP, REA will lead SCS Tracer Environmental, and Lee Pyle will continue to lead Tracer’s Risk Management and Safety group.  Both have been named vice presidents of SCS.
