SCS Engineers welcomes Rob Wall as a Senior Project Advisor. Wall brings a unique perspective to SCS Engineers based on his career working for large private waste management companies. Although Wall is based in our Charlotte, North Carolina, office, he will work with SCS’s integrated practices across the firm.
In today’s waste industry and working with larger municipal clients, Wall’s experience will help inform the design and implementation of environmental solutions that help increase efficiencies and safety while keeping responsible economic factors.
Wall is a seasoned operations executive with over three decades of leading teams in the solid waste management industry and successfully improving key metrics to build lasting relationships across the US. Most recently, he was a Division Vice President at Waste Connections. Wall’s areas of expertise include servant leadership, safe workplace practices, business and financial acumen, team building/mentoring, and budgeting/forecasting.
Often in the news, terms such as sustainability, zero-waste, sustainable materials management, greenhouse, and methane reduction are buzzwords. What they mean to communities and industries setting climate change goals is moving waste management to reducing, recycling, and reusing waste materials instead of landfilling. The most successful initiatives are carefully planned by experts in the solid waste industry who have a deep bench of engineers, scientists, and technicians because they understand each location’s compliance laws and operational nuances; each project is unique, and funding is a considerable element.
